Why I'm a part of Ubunye: Born in Durban, educated on the Gold Coast (Australia), and now based in London, volunteering has been something I’ve always enjoyed from a young age. So when you meet someone who is passionate enough to swim the English Channel and row from Australia to Africa for their cause, it’s impossible to turn down their request for support. I admire the heroic way in which team members have pushed themselves to the limits of human endurance, breaking two Guinness world records in the process of raising funds for schools in remote parts of Southern Africa. I support the Ubunye Challenge wholeheartedly as I believe the benefits of education will unlock the potential and transform young underprivileged lives.
